Helping more families explore the Bible story

This Crowdfunded Project is helping us reach out to more families in PNG through the addition of Tokpisin Voiceovers to 3 popular videos from the BETK with approval from the BibleProject’s localisation team. This includes the preparation of SD cards containing all 3 videos for target groups in isolated locations of East New Britain Province.

The BETK resources assembled during the project are presented below:

Encouraging customary landowners to reforest their grasslands

ITTO Project PD 552/09 aimed to create a model reforestation framework, comprising awareness, training and support services, that encouraged customary landowners in the lowlands of Central Province to reforest their grasslands with high value trees.

PIP collaborated with PNG’s Department of Education to align the BETK resources with the new Standards Based Curriculum. This included field-testing with target schools in Central Province. This work led to the finalisation of the BETK’s introductory material, prior to securing government approval for the BETK to be used in PNG schools under the Citizenship & Christian Values Education (CCVE) subject.
